From August 8th to 16th, the 21st China University Athletics Championships took place in Anhui Vocational and Technical College successfully. There are more than 3,550 athletes from 390 colleges and universities across the country attended this competition, which consists of 26 major events and 162 sub-events. The number of participating universities and athletes reached an all-time high. ompetition and achieved excellent results.
In preparation for this championship, the member of the track and field team gave up their holidays and devoted themselves to training. Correspondingly, all participating members worked hard in a good performance. Specifically, Fang Zelin won the title of national first-class athlete in the men’s 400m event with a time of 49.37 seconds. Zhu Weidong successfully broke the 10-year record of the highest men’s 100m with a time of 10.67 seconds, and was authorized the title of national first-class athlete. Yin Yue took a good performance of 12.38 seconds in the women’s 100m event. Yue Di won the title of National Grade 2 Athlete in the men’s 400m hurdles event. And the women’s relay team broke the highest track and field record in the 4×100m relay event.
HEU’s track and field team has achieved distinctions in the 21st China University Athletics Championships and has become an advocate and leader of sports activities in our university. By enhancing the campus sports culture atmosphere, this team can attract more students to participate in sports activities, and play a leading role in cultivating more lifelong athletes.
